King, Deputy Director T14 - <br />Emergency Management Services <br />-------------------------- <br />----------------- ----------------------- <br />It is requested that the information herein presented be given <br />formal consideration by the Board of County Commissioners at its <br />next regular scheduled meeting. <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Each year representatives from Indian River County Emergency <br />Management Services, Florida Power and Light, and the Florida <br />Department of Community Affairs negotiate the Radiological Emergency <br />Preparedness Agreement. The agreement is predicated on <br />responsibilities defined by the US Nuclear Regulitory Commission in <br />Rule 10 CFR Parts 50 and 70, and NUREG 0654, FEMA -+REP -1, Revision 2. <br />During the referenced negotiations on June•.30, 1989, an agreement <br />was reached wherein Indian River County" -will receive $36,755 in <br />funds to enable the County to carry out its responsibilities as <br />provided in the above referenced authorities. <br />AUG 72, 2 1989 41 BOOK�E <br />
