Some confusion ensued, and it was established that we are <br />now talking about Page 63 of the Sanitary Sewer Sub -Element, <br />Objective 6. <br />Director Keating stated that we could put the same language <br />in that Objective 6 for sewer as we did for water, and it was <br />felt that was fine. <br />Planner Rohani suggested that we could just say "single <br />family homes exempted," and that was agreed on. <br />OBJECTIVE 7 INTERGOVERNMENTAL COORDINATION <br />By 1992, the county will establish a regular coordination <br />mechanism with other local governments and agencies for an <br />effective system of potable water provision. - NO COMMENT. <br />***** END OF POTABLE WATER SUB -ELEMENT ***** <br />SOLID WASTE SUB -ELEMENT <br />Goal <br />It is the goal of Indian River County to have an efficient and <br />environmentally sound solid and hazardous waste management system <br />to prevent spread of disease, to promote orderly growth within <br />the county, and to meet existing and projected demand for <br />management and disposal of waste. <br />OBJECTIVE 1 SERVICE_ CONCURRENT WITH DEVELOPMENT <br />By 1989, the county will have and will continue to have an active <br />segment of the landfill which will have an adequate capacity <br />concurrent with development. <br />Mrs. Offutt noted the county will be looking at a SWDD Reso- <br />lution during budget hearings in which some of the categories, <br />such as hotels, are defined as "good," "average," and "cheap," <br />and restaurants have classification of "tiny," and "Mom & Pop." <br />.She hoped further attention will be given to those definitions. <br />37 <br />AUG � L��� <br />,.., <br />BOOK IA -a T�+� <br />
