Tuesday, September 5, 1989 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, <br />September 5, 1989, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Gary C. <br />Wheeler, Chairman; Carolyn K. Eggert, Vice Chairman; Richard N. <br />Bird; Margaret C. Bowman; and Don C. Scurlock, Jr. Also present <br />were James E. Chandler, County Administrator; Charles P. Vitunac, <br />Attorney to the Board of County Commissioners; Joseph Baird, OMB <br />Director; and Virginia Hargreaves,•Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order, and Commissioner <br />Bird led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Chairman Wheeler asked that a discussion on Health Insurance <br />be added under the County Administrator's matters as Item 8A. <br />Also, he asked that Item 5E. regarding the Historic Building <br />Survey be removed from this agenda and deferred until the October <br />3rd meeting. <br />Administrator Chandler requested that an emergency item be <br />added regarding Hazardous Material Cleanup Activities as Item 9 <br />B(2) under Emergency Management. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bird, the Board unanimously added and <br />deleted matters on today's Agenda as described above. <br />` % " r ; ', <br />SEP 5 195 BOOK <br />I <br />
