EP <br />12 1989 <br />BOOK i 3 F,.`_ s <br />ORDINANCE NO. 89- 25 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, <br />AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 87-67, AS AMENDED BY <br />ORDINANCE NO. 88-32, RELATING -TO THE SOLID WASTE <br />DISPOSAL DISTRICT; ADDING POWER TO ADOPT RULES AND <br />REGULATIONS; CHANGING THE TERM EQUIVALENT <br />RESIDENTIAL UNIT TO THE TERM WASTE GENERATION <br />UNIT; DELETING THE DEFINITION- OF EQUIVALENT <br />RESIDENTIAL UNIT, AND INSERTING THE DEFINITION OF <br />WASTE GENERATION UNIT. <br />x, <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of County Commissloners of <br />Indian River County that: - <br />SECTION 1. AMENDING THE POWERS OF THE SOLID WASTE <br />DISPOSAL DISTRICT (SWDD) <br />"Sect -ion 4. Powers of S.W.D.D." which reads as follows: <br />"The SWDD shall have all powers necessary and incident <br />to accomplishing the purposes of> -the district, which powers <br />shall include the power to hire, fire, and set compensation <br />of employees, lease, rent, or buy real and personal property, <br />issue revenue bonds or other certificates of indebtedness, <br />and contract, including the power to contract with <br />municipalities within Indian River County which have not <br />joined the SWDD." <br />is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />"Section 4. Powers of S.W.D.D. <br />The SWDD shall have all powers necessary and incident <br />to accomplishing the purposes of the district, which powers <br />shall include the power to adopt "Policies and Procedures" <br />of the SWDD by resolution of the Board of SWDD <br />Commissioners; hire, fire, and set compensation of <br />employees; lease, rent or buy real and personal property;,. <br />issue revenue bonds or other certificates of indebtedness; <br />and contract, including the power to contract with <br />municipalities within Indian River County which have not <br />joined the SWDD." <br />16 <br />
