WfieeT—er <br />Chairman <br />(SEE EXHIBIT "A" ATTACHED TO ,RESOLUTION 89-90) <br />Chairman Wheeler opened the public hearing on Vero Lake <br />Estates Municipal Service Taxing Unit. <br />Administrator Chandler announced that the Vero Lakes Estates <br />MSTU is funded on a per parcel charge. This year it is $15.00 <br />per parcel/acre the same as last year, and the proposed budget is <br />$77,950, a decrease of $30,750 from the previous year. <br />The Chairman asked if anyone wished to be heard. <br />Mr. George Banek inquired what this budget is for, and <br />Commissioner Scurlock advised that the residents of that particu- <br />lar area petitioned the Commission to establish a special <br />district and described the procedure to be followed. He <br />explained that this can be done for roads, for drainage, for <br />street lights, etc. It is for special services that the <br />residents want, and only those who benefit pay for the services. <br />It was determined that no one else wished to be heard, and <br />the Chairman closed the public -hearing on Vero Lake Estates MSTU. <br />Attorney Vitunac advised that proposed Resolution 89-94 <br />establishes an assessment rate of $15.00 per parcel/acre for the <br />Vero Lake Estates Municipal Taxing Unit. <br />24 <br />
