SEP 13 1989 `7 <br />Chairman Wheeler advised those present that we would next <br />address the Fire Districts, and he then opened the public hearing <br />on the North Indian River County Fire Protection District. <br />Administrator Chandler advised that the proposed millage of <br />1.000 is a 2.1% increase above rollback. The proposed budget is <br />$922,160, a $220,609 increase over last year, and the primary <br />reason for the increase is the addition of 6 new full "time <br />firefighter positions to provide improved coverage and response <br />time for the North Fire District. <br />The Chairman asked if anyone wished to be heard.
