Tuesday, October 3, 1989 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, <br />October 3, 1989, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Gary C. <br />Wheeler, Chairman; Carolyn K. Eggert, Vice Chairman; Richard N. <br />Bird; Margaret C. Bowman; and Don C. Scurlock, Jr. Also present <br />were James E. Chandler, County Administrator; Charles P. Vitunac, <br />Attorney to the Board of County Commissioners; OMB Director <br />Joseph Baird; and Barbara Bonnah, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />Pastor Don Swope from First Presbyterian Church in Sebastian <br />gave the invocation, and Attorney Vitunac led the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Chairman Wheeler requested the addition of two proclamations <br />to today's Consent Agenda as Items G and H: <br />1. Disability Employment Awareness Month <br />2. Respiratory Care Week <br />Chairman Wheeler also requested the addition of an emergency <br />item concerning the IRC Volunteer Ambulance Squad's lease <br />agreement with the City of Vero Beach. <br />Administrator Chandler requested the removal from the Agenda <br />of Item 9-H-1 -- Construction of Two Reverse Osmosis Water Supply <br />Wells for the IRC North Beach Water Plant, and advised that this <br />previously tabled item would be brought back at a later date. <br />CT <br />BOOK l `"gra <br />
