Wiegerg7 <br />Staff Planner, Current <br />October 2, 1989 <br />Development <br />GRAVES BROTHERS COMPANY'S REQUEST FOR AN EXTENSION OF <br />THE SITE PLAN APPROVAL FOR AN EMPLOYEE VILLAGE <br />It is requested that the data herein presented be given formal <br />consideration by the Board of County Commissioners at its regular <br />meeting of October 17, 1989. <br />`..DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS: <br />On October 13, 1988, the Planning and Zoning Commission approved a <br />site plan application submitted by Graves Brothers Company to con- <br />'struct an employee village (migrant worker housing) with associ- <br />.ated site improvements at 8100 69th Street. <br />`::The owner has stated that due to engineering constraints, he has <br />been unable to commence construction prior to the expiration of <br />the approved site plan. However, if no construction has begun by <br />;October 13, 1989, the site plan approval will lapse unless other - <br />'wise extended by the Board of County Commissioners. This petition <br />'was received by the Community Development Department prior to the <br />expiration of the approved plan, as required by the site plan <br />-ordinance. <br />`No regulations have changed since the time of site plan approval: <br />-that would affect the approved plan. <br />Pursuant to the provisions of Sections 23.2(G)(2) of the Zoning <br />Code, the owneris requesting a full 1 year extension of the <br />approved site plan. It has been the policy of the Board to grant <br />'extensions to projects which conform to current codes. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of the Graves Brothers Company's request <br />for a one year extension of the previously approved site plan; the <br />new expiration date to be October 13, 1990. <br />3 <br />1001- 1 1989 <br />78 <br />POOKF'"„E 15 <br />
