Li <br />BOOK rf r -u <br />8 FACE •J9IC; <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Commissioner Scurlock being absent) accepted Mr. <br />Saliba's proposed settlement, and authorized the <br />Chairman to execute releases of any liens against <br />the property at 920 20th Avenue in exchange for tender <br />of $1,000 to Indian River County to defray the costs of <br />trash removal and yard maintenance incurred. <br />(COPY OF RELEASE OF LIEN NOW ON FILE IN CLERK'S OFFICE) <br />PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE REPORT <br />Commissioner Bird reviewed the following summary of the <br />meeting held on November 9, 1989: <br />PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br />SUMMARY <br />November 9, 1989 <br />The following is a summary of the Parks and Recreation Committee <br />meeting held on November 9, 1989: <br />1) South County Regional Park, Phase I <br />Mr. Davis showed the Committee Phase I of the proposed <br />master plan for the South County Park. Costs estimates <br />should be ready by the December meeting, and then the <br />Committee will set priorities they think should be completed <br />in Phase I with the available funds. <br />2) Treasure Shores Park Master Plan <br />Brad Smith, Landscape Architect Consultant, showed the <br />Committee the conceptual design of the Treasure Shores Park. <br />The Committee unanimously approved the master plan and <br />scheduled the item to come before the County Commission on <br />November 21. <br />3) Florida Boating Improvement Program Fund Allocations <br />Mr. Davis said the County is being encouraged to use some of <br />the available boating improvement funds. Three -projects <br />were proposed: Round Island improvements; Boat dock or ramp <br />with parking along south Jungle Trail; and expansion of the <br />boat ramp and parking at the Oslo Road boat ramp site. The <br />Committee unanimously recommended that staff be directed to <br />obtain cost estimates for expansion and improvements to the <br />Oslo Road boat ramp site. <br />40 <br />
