RESOLUTION NO. 89- 143 <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, ACCEPTING THE CERTIFICATE OF <br />THE COUNTY CANVASSING BOARD. <br />WHEREAS, on November 7, 1989, the County held a bond <br />referendum of the qualified electors residing in the county <br />on the question of whether or not Indian River County should <br />issue general obligation bonds or notes of the County in an <br />aggregate principal amount not to exceed $2,900,000 to <br />finance the cost of the purchase of the McKee Jungle Gardens <br />and certain nearby wetlands in the county; and <br />WHEREAS, after the ballots were counted, the results <br />were certified by the County Canvassing Board, which <br />consisted of. County Judge James B. Balsiger, Board of County <br />Commissioners Chairman Gary C. Wheeler, and Supervisor of <br />Elections Ann Robinson, and the Certificate, which shows <br />that the referendum did not pass, was turned over to the <br />Board of County Commissioners, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the <br />Board hereby officially acknowledges receipt of the <br />Certificate of the. County Canvassing Board in connection <br />with the above referendum. <br />The resolution was moved for adoption by Commissioner <br />Scurlock and the motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />, and, upon being put to a vote, the vote <br />Eggert <br />was as follows: <br />Chairman Gary C.
