NOV 2 0 1989 <br />BOOK 78 85 <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bird, the Board unanimously (4-0) approved <br />the proposed purchase agreement with Pelican Pointe <br />Utilities,_Inc. <br />AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />AND <br />PELICAN POINTE UTILITIES, INC. <br />RE: COUNTY TAKE-OVER OF UTILITY SYSTEM <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made this <br />28thday of <br />November , 1989, <br />between INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, a political subdivision of the State <br />of Florida, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida 32960 (COUNTY) <br />and PELICAN POINTE UTILITIES, INC., whose address is 9600 U.S. <br />Highway 1, Sebastian, Florida 32958. <br />W ITNESSET H: <br />WHEREBY, SELLER is the owner of a water and wastewater <br />utility system servicing a portion of Indian River County; and <br />WHEREAS, COUNTY has embarked on a program of providing <br />quality water and wastewater service to as much of Indian River <br />County as is financially feasible; and <br />WHEREAS, as part of this program, the COUNTY has approached <br />SELLER concerning purchasing his utility system; and <br />WHEREAS, SELLER has agreed to this purchase by COUNTY of the <br />water and wastewater systems, including plant and distribution <br />systems, for the sum of $194,124.00; said amount to be paid <br />through a surcharge of $7.00 per ERU for the term of eight (8) <br />years; and <br />SAID AGREEMENT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF CLERK TO THE BOARD IN <br />ITS ENTIRETY. <br />28 <br />
