AND 1ST LANE FOR NEW YEAR'S EVE <br />The Board reviewed memo from Public Works Director Davis: <br />TO: James E. Chandler, <br />County Administrator <br />FROM: James W. Davis, P.E., di <br />Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: Request to Close a Por ion of 40th Court and a <br />Portion of 1st Lane for New Years Eve <br />REFERENCE Ll'11'hit: Norman W. Hensick, Jr. to Jim Davis <br />dated December 11, 1989 <br />DATE: December 11, 1989 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION <br />Residents in Woodlands Subdivision have requested per- <br />mission to close a portion of the street for a New Years Eve <br />Street Dance. Streets affected would be the north part of <br />40th Court and a portion of 1st Lane from 7:00 PM until 1:00 <br />AM on December 31, 1989. Staff has no objection to this <br />request, provided that: <br />1) Proper barricades as permitted <br />Engineering Division are installed. <br />2) A block representative be listed as <br />charge of the event in case the <br />by the Traffic <br />a contactperson in_ <br />road needs to be <br />opened. <br />Access to emergency vehicles be maintained. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bowman, the Board unanimously granted <br />permission for the closing of the streets as requested <br />above subject to the conditions set out by staff. <br />53 <br />DEC 2 1989 <br />
