� � r <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY HEALTH UNIT BUILDING <br />General Services Director Dean reviewed the following, <br />recapping that'staff was directed to move ahead with this project <br />which has been dormant since 1986: <br />DATE: JANUARY 3, 1990 <br />TO: HONORABLE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />THRU: JAMES E. CHANDLER <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR <br />FROM: H.T. "SONNY" DEAN, DIRECTOR <br />DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVI <br />SUBJECT: INDIAN RIVER COUNTY HEALTH UNIT <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The plans and specifications for the subject project have been <br />completed. Mr., Lemuel Ramos, of Ramos and Associates is ready to <br />make his final presentation to the Board of County Commissioners. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Staff recommends that this presentation be scheduled for the regular <br />meeting of the Board on Tuesday, January 9, 1990. It is also <br />recommended that upon approval of the plans that authorization be <br />given to bid the subject project. <br />Mr. Lemuel Ramos of Ramos 6 Associates took the floor and <br />displayed drawings of final plans of the proposed project. He <br />informed the Board that the building is still set in the same <br />place. They have refined it and picked up a few small changes, <br />but basically it is the same building. It now contains 36,000 <br />sq. ft. <br />Commissioner Scurlock asked how much the total square <br />footage has increased from the beginning figure. <br />Chairman Eggert advised that it started out at between <br />25127,000 sq. ft. and went down to 20,000, and then it went back <br />up to 36,000 sq. ft, with the Primary Care Program and Environ- <br />mental Health in it. She noted that Welfare and Veterans are -in <br />this building also. <br />Mr. Ramos then showed the Board where there previously was <br />an area set aside for future parking, but now they are making use <br />boo$. 1 F��F. a, <br />
