and the tipping load of 27,606 pounds does not comply with the <br />required 30,900 pounds minimum. <br />FUNDING: <br />Monies for this project will come from the Landfill Capital <br />Expenditures Account which has a budget of $125,000.00. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Staff recommends award of the bid to M.D. Moody and Son, Inc. at a <br />price of $109,988.00 for the subject equipment. <br />Commissioner Scurlock wished to know what kind of experience <br />we have had with the Trojan; it was his understanding that they <br />have quit making this equipment. <br />General Services Director Dean advised that the Trojan <br />representative is present and can address that. <br />Frank Dougherty came before the Board representing M. D. <br />Moody, and informed the Board that there is no truth at all to <br />the statement that they have quit making the Trojan. <br />Director Dean reported that we have had a piece of Trojan <br />,equipment at the Landfill for over two years and have had minimum <br />problems with it. <br />Commissioner Scurlock just wanted to have it on the record <br />that they are still manufacturing this piece of equipment. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wheeler, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Scurlock, the Board unanimously awarded <br />Bid #90-13 for a 1990 Trojan 350OZ End Loader to <br />M.D.Moody 6 Son as the lowest and best bidder meeting <br />specifications in the amount of $109,988 as recommended <br />by staff and per the following Bid Tabulation: <br />JAN 0 1990 5 BGeK 78 fAI.TE 837 <br />
