ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously approved <br />the request of Mr. Robert Powell of Surfside Terrace <br />for installation of one street light contingent upon <br />the conditions set out in staff's recommendation. <br />I. Mascola, CPO Manager <br />Division of Purchasing <br />SUBJ: IRC BID#90-27/TWO AMBULANCES <br />BACKG CUND:--.- <br />On request from Emergency Management Services the bid for Ttao <br />Ambulances was properly advertised and Eight (8) Invitations <br />to bid were sent out. On Dec. 6, 1989, bids were received: <br />Five (5) vendors submitted proposals for the commodity. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />Staff has reviewed the submittal to ascertain adherence to, <br />specifications. National Ambulance Builders was'the low <br />bidder that met all requirements. At this point in time <br />Emergency Management Services is only requesting One (1) <br />Vehicle. (Memo Attached) <br />FUNDING: <br />Monies for this project will came from Advanced Life Support <br />Account Automotive, which has a budget of $65,390.00. <br />-Staff reconnends the Award of the Bid for $45,788.00, <br />to National Ambulance Builders for the subject commodity. <br />Chairman Eggert commented that this bid calls for 2 <br />ambulances, but apparently we are only going out for one. <br />
