The channel is used only from the St. Lucie/Indian River County line <br />to the first set of power lines that cross the ICW south of Vero <br />Beach. <br />4. During the years, we have been operating in this location, we have <br />compiled a perfect safety record. <br />In its directive to DNR, the Governor and Cabinet made provisions for <br />exemption language to be placed in all county ordinances. This language <br />would encompass watersports activities such as competitions, <br />demonstrations,''regattas, races, and boat/engine testing. <br />In subsequent discussions with DNR staff, we have continued to be assured <br />that exemption language would be included in these' -ordinances. <br />We have worked with Martin, St. Lucie, and Palm Beach counties to develop <br />language acceptable to all the interested parties. We would ask you to <br />consider inclusion of this language in your ordinance as you act on it on <br />Tuesday.
