Baird <br />OMB Director <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The Tourist Development Council budgeted $92,000 for District II <br />(County) expenditures in the Tourist Tax fund, to be used in the <br />1989/90 budget year. In addition, another $29,425 is available from <br />the unused portion of Tourist Tax monies dedicated to the <br />construction of Golden Sands Park in the 1988/89 year; this project <br />has since been completed. As part of a matching grant program, we <br />have the opportunity to use these monies to begin work on a new <br />recreational facility, to be known as Treasure Shores. Park. This <br />project, to be located on the ocean in the North County, is a planned <br />complex, with the following special features: <br />o 4,000 feet of beachfront. <br />o The complex will be designed to preserve as much of the <br />natural vegetation as possible. <br />o There will be an oceanfront recreation area, with at least <br />631 parking spaces, outdoor showers, lifeguard tower and <br />picnic/playground area with complete facilities. <br />o A pedestrian plaza area with restroom facilities, <br />convenience store and rental facility for surfboards, <br />balloon tire bicycles, etc. Of special interest is a <br />7"79BOOK F'�1GE 35 <br />FEB 27' 1990 <br />
