Baird <br />OMB Director <br />Iv - <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The Tourist Development Council approved the following budget <br />amendments at their meeting of February 14, 1990: <br />1. The City of Vero Beach was owed $140,500 in Tourist <br />Tax, District I Fund from the 1988/89 fiscal year <br />which was not paid until the 1989/90 fiscal year. <br />This timing difference caused the substantial <br />difference in anticipated Cash Forward Revenue balance <br />beginning in 1989/90. The attached budget amendment <br />appropriates the funding as required. <br />2. The City of Vero Beach requested $5,000 from District <br />I to assist the Arts.Council in paying for the Bourbon <br />Street Festival per the attached letter dated January <br />30, 1990 from Tom Nason, Finance Director, City of <br />Vero Beach. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends the Board of County Commissioners approve the <br />attached budget amendment. <br />ON MOTION.By Commissioner Wheeler, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Scurlock, Commissioner Bird being absent,,the <br />Board unanimously (4-0) approved Budget Amendment #042 <br />as recommended by staff. <br />9 <br />FEB 2 71990 <br />
