r <br />MAR 61990 �co� 19 F,UC, <br />ORDINANCE NO. go- 6 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, CREATING A RISK MANAGEMENT <br />PROGRAM AND PROVIDING FOR OPERATION• OF <br />THE PROGRAM PURSUANT TO A MANUAL <br />DESCRIBING THE PROGRAM, WHICH MANUAL, <br />AND THE POLICIES CONTAINED THEREIN, <br />SHALL BE APPROVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTiNG <br />PROVISIONS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; <br />PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION IN CODE; AND <br />PROVIDING FOR EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />'BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County that the following <br />ordinance is hereby adopted as follows: <br />SECTION 1. <br />Risk Management Program. <br />There shall be a risk management program for <br />Indian River County which shall operate pursuant to the <br />policies established and contained within the risk <br />management program manual, which manual shall be approved by <br />the Board of County Commissioners. <br />SECTION 2. <br />Conflicting Provisions. <br />In case of a conflict between the provisions of <br />this ordinance and prior ordinances, the prior ordinance <br />shall be deemed repealed to the extent of such conflict. <br />SECTION 3. <br />Severability. <br />If any section, or if any sentence, paragraph, <br />phrase, or word of this ordinance is for any reason held to <br />be unconstitutional, inoperative, or void, such Holding <br />shall not affect the remaining portions of this ordinance, <br />and it shall be construed to have been the legislative <br />intent to pass the ordinance without such unconstitutional, <br />invalid or inoperative part. <br />SECTION 4. <br />Incorporation in Code. <br />34 <br />
