IRC Bid 90-37 - Heavy -Duty Truck w/Loader & Dump Body <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 2/21/90: <br />DATE: February 21, 1990 <br />TO: HONORABLE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />THRU: JAMES E. MASCOLA, MANAGER <br />PURCHASING DIVISION <br />SUBJ: IRC BID #90-37 <br />HEAVY DUTY TRUCK W/LOADER & DUMP BODY <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On request from the Solid Waste & Recycle Division the subject bid <br />for a Heavy Duty Truck w/Loader & Dump body was properly advertised <br />and Fifteen (15) invitations for -bid were sent out. On. January 31, <br />1990 bids were opened and Three (3) vendors submitted proposals for <br />the equipment. <br />ANALYSIS• ' <br />Staff has reviewed the submittals to ascertain adherence to speci- <br />fications. Larry Thompson Enterprises was low bidder at $54,230.00, <br />but did not meet the minimum specifications. (See Solid Waste Dis- <br />posal Division Memorandum.) MTA Corporation was the low reponsive <br />bidder at $57,092.00 that met all specifications. The difference <br />in price is $2,862.00. <br />FUNDING: <br />Monies for this equipment will come from the Solid Waste Recycling <br />Division's Automotive Account, which has a budget of $70,000.00. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Staff recommends the award of the Heavy Duty Truck w/Loader & <br />Dump Body for $57,092.00 to the lowest repGnsivebidder, MTA Corp. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously awarded <br />IRC Bid 90-37 to the lowest responsive bidder, <br />MTA Corporation, in the amount of $57,092 for a <br />Heavy Duty Truck w/Loader and Dump Body, as <br />recommended by staff. <br />5 <br />MAR 6 1990 BOOK I U F� c 4 6,3 7 <br />
