Chandler, County Administrator <br />THRU: Jack Price, Personnel Director <br />FROM: Beth Jordan, Risk Managerp� <br />DATE: March 12, 1990 <br />SUBJECT: Request for Board Consideration; Actuarial Study <br />This is to request Board consideration for approval of the 1989- <br />90 actuarial study of the self-insurance fund. <br />Background <br />Upon the recommendation of Siver Insurance Management Consultants, <br />the Board in 1988-89 authorized Coopers & Lybrand to conduct the <br />first actuarial study of the self-insurance program. Their report <br />was the basis for properly funding the program, and was <br />instrumental to the County's auditors in their annual review of the <br />County's budget. <br />The Risk Management Manual, adopted by the Board on March 6, 1990, <br />contains a provision for an annual actuarial update. <br />30 <br />s s r�r <br />
