MAR 2 01990 <br />�oo� FF 6L 61- <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wheeler, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Commissioner Scurlock being absent) authorized the <br />Chairman to write a letter to Mayor Votapka saying <br />that the County Commission feels that this should be <br />run through the City of Sebastian. <br />DRUG ABUSE ACT - SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNCIL OF IRC NAMED AS <br />DESIGNATED COORDINATOR <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 3/14/90: <br />TO: Board of County DATE: March 14, 1990 FILE: <br />Commissioners <br />SUBJECT: Drug Abuse Act <br />FROM: County commissioner REFERENCES: <br />I am on the Interim Board of Directors of the Substance <br />Abuse Council of Indian River County and this group has agreed to <br />be the coordinating committee for the Anti -Drug Abuse Act which <br />will recommend the disbursement of $128,506 in Indian River <br />County. <br />There is a great deal of public interest and expertise that <br />exists in the prevention of alcohol and other drug abuses, -as you <br />can see from the attached membership list, and I would like to <br />recommend that the Substance Abuse Council of Indian River County <br />be the designated coordinator. <br />GCW:jwc <br />74 <br />� s <br />_I <br />
