DeBraal - Deputy County Attorney <br />DATE: October 14, 2014 <br />SUBJECT: Resolution Canceling Taxes on Property Purchased for 66th <br />Avenue Right -Of -Way and Stormwater Retention from Brian R. <br />Hood, a/k/a Brian Hood <br />A Resolution has been prepared for the purpose of canceling any delinquent, <br />omitted or current taxes which may exist on the property purchased by Indian <br />River County from Brian R. Hood, a/k/a Brian Hood for stormwater retention and <br />66th Avenue right-of-way. Said property is fully described in that certain General <br />Warranty Deed recorded in Book 2787 at Pages 1863-1864 of the Public <br />Records of Indian River County, Florida. <br />FUNDING: <br />There is no cost associated with this item. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Authorize the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners to execute the <br />attached Resolution to cancel certain taxes upon publicly owned land, and the <br />Clerk to send a certified copy of the Resolution to the Tax Collector and the <br />Property Appraiser so that any delinquent, omitted or current taxes can be <br />cancelled, and to also send a copy to each of Fixed Assets, Budget and the <br />County Attorney's Office. <br />/nhm <br />Attachment: Resolution <br />cc: Carole Jean Jordan - Tax Collector <br />David Nolte - Property Appraiser <br />Approved for October 21, 2014 BCC Meeting <br />Consent Agenda <br />7 <br />Indian River Co. <br />A m�oved <br />Date <br />Admin. <br />(.:1 <br />!Dl4 <br />Co.
