Baird, <br />County Administrator <br />CONSENT AGEND <br />Amendment No. 1- FDEP Grant Agreement No. 14IR2 <br />Sector 3 Dune Repair Project <br />September 29, 2014 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) received FY 2013/2014 funding to <br />assist in the recovery of the State's beaches following Hurricane Sandy and Tropical Storm Debby. <br />On November 22, 2013, FDEP entered into grant Agreement No. 14IR2 with Indian River County <br />committing state funds for design, permitting, and construction phase services required for the <br />repair of the Sector 3 Beach and Dune Restoration Project constructed between 2010 and 2012. <br />The agreement commits up to $5,400,000 at a cost share ratio of 50% State - 50% Local. The <br />total local share under this agreement is $2,700,000. The Sector 3 Dune Repair Project is <br />anticipated to begin November, 2014. <br />Amendment No. 1 to FDEP grant Agreement No. 141R2 amends grant Task 3.3 - Hurricane Repair <br />Construction to include specific construction related Deliverables (Project Construction, <br />Construction Phase Observation, and Sea Turtle Monitoring) that were not previously identified <br />in Task 3.3 of the original agreement. Amendment No. 1 does not change the total FDEP grant <br />funding available for this project. <br />FUNDING <br />Local funding of Beach Restoration includes a portion of Local Option Tourist Tax Revenue as well <br />as allocation of the One Cent Sales Tax.
