Matson, Aln <br />MPO Staff Director ` Y j` <br />DATE: November 4, 2014 <br />SUBJECT: Transportation Disadvantaged Annual Public Hearing <br />c _ e <br />To help local governments fulfill the functions of transportation disadvantaged planning, the <br />State Commission for the Transportation Disadvantaged (CTD) requires that all counties <br />appoint a Designated Official Planning Agency (DOPA). The DOPA must fulfill <br />responsibilities and duties as outlined in Chapter 427, Florida Statutes, and Rule 41-2. For <br />Indian River County, the Metropolitan Planning Organization is designated as the County's <br />DOPA. <br />As part of the statutory responsibilities, the Indian River County Metropolitan (Planning <br />Organization appoints members to the Indian River County Transportation Disadvantaged <br />Local Coordinating Board (TDLCB) to assist in the coordination of transportation <br />disadvantaged services within the county. The purpose of the TDLCB is to identify local <br />service needs and to provide information, advice, direction, and support to the Community <br />Transportation Coordinator, the Senior Resource Association, Inc. <br />The TDLCB is required by the State Commission for the Transportation Disadvantaged to hold <br />an annual public hearing in order to gather public input on transportation disadvantaged related <br />issues. At this time, the Transportation Disadvantaged Local Coordinating Board (TDLCB) is <br />inviting all interested citizens to a public hearing to discuss transportation disadvantaged issues <br />and to provide input to the Local Coordinating Board on transportation services (demand <br />response and fixed route) and unmet needs. <br />DATE: November 20, 2014 <br />TIME: 10:00 AM <br />LOCATION: Conference Room B 1-501 <br />County Administration Building B <br />1801 27`" Street <br />Vero Beach, FL 32960 <br />244 <br />
