CONSENT AGENDA <br />Board of County Commissioners <br />December 8, 2014 <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />ANALYSIS: <br />The previous contract had been initially awarded on September 23, 2014 to A & Associates of West <br />Palm Beach, FL. Work under the agreement began on Monday, October 6th, and on Friday, October <br />10t, A & Associates submitted a request to resign from the contract, citing misunderstanding of the <br />work expected to be performed by the laborers. The Road and Bridge Division has a blanket Purchase <br />Order in place with the previous labor contractor, Labor Ready of Fort Pierce, who have agreed to <br />provide required laborers at the previous contract rate of $11.28 per hour until a new contract is <br />awarded. The new hourly rate is an increase of 7.2% over last year's contract.
