CHAPTER 29163 LAWS OF FLORIDA <br /> to the same extent that natural persons might do, in the man- <br /> ner provided in this Charter. <br /> (b) Recreational Facilities: To acquire by purchase, gift, <br /> devise, condemnation, lease or otherwise, real or personal prop- <br /> erty or any estate therein, and on same, build, repair, improve, <br /> construct, own, lease, operate and maintain any and all man- <br /> ner of recreational facilities, including yacht basins, docks, <br /> 'piers, wharves, fishing piers, public beaches, beach casinos, <br /> cabanas, pavilions, entertainment and eating places, swimming <br /> pools, bath houses, stadiums, football fields, baseball parks, <br /> athletic fields, amusement parks, dance and concert halls, gym- <br /> nasiums, auditoriums, airports, golf courses, playgrounds, park- <br /> ing lots, tourist camps, trailer parks, tennis courts, shuffleboard <br /> courts, bowling courts, libraries and reading rooms, public parks <br /> and public recreational facilities of all kinds; to construct, im- <br /> prove, build or maintain all streets, alleys, parks, boulevards, via- <br /> ducts, tunnels or bridges necessary or proper to approach same, or <br /> to be used in connection with any of same, and any and all <br /> necessary or convenient appurtenances or aides in connection <br /> therewith; to regulate the use thereof, including the power to <br /> charge, establish and collect reasonable fees, admissions, tolls, <br /> charges, rentals, or moneys to be paid said Town by each per- <br /> son, firm or corporation using any of same or receiving a ser- <br /> vice from the use of same; to lease from others or to others, in <br /> accordance with the requirements of the Charter, such of said <br /> facilities as the municipality may desire or think proper; to <br /> prescribe, regulate and at all times control any charge de- <br /> manded of, paid by or collected from the public in patronizing, <br /> enjoying or using any of the privileges afforded by or tendered <br /> through any such facility; and, in the sole discretion of the <br /> municipality and in the public interest, to absolutely discon- <br /> tinue the use, operation or maintenance of any such facility, <br /> where no pledge of revenues therefrom has been made; and <br /> to pledge the revenue derived from any such facility or any <br /> other available funds to pay and discharge any bonds which <br /> might have been issued in connection with securing moneys to <br /> construct or improve such facilities. <br /> (c) Taxes and Assessment: To levy, assess and collect taxes <br /> for all ►municipal purposes, general and special, upon real and <br /> personal property and upon all businesses and occupations <br /> within the Town. <br /> 1288 <br /> I � <br />
