Section 1. The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby found true and cornett and are <br /> adopted as findings of the City Council of the City of Vero Beach,Indian River County,Florida. <br /> Section 2. The City Council of the City of Vero Beach, Florida, hereby authorizes the City's <br /> administrative Staff to develop, in consultation and collaboration with appropriate <br /> representatives of City electric customers, including Indian River County and the Town of Indian <br /> River Shores, a proposed ordinance that would provide for establishment, structure, powers, <br /> operational matters, and other necessary attributes of a separate utility authority to <br /> operate the business of the City's electric utility system. The City Council further <br /> authorizes Staff to bring such definitive, detailed ordinance before the City Council as soon as <br /> possible,but in no case any later than the first Council meeting in July 2015. <br /> Section 3. The City Clerk is directed to provide a certified copy of this Resolution to Florida <br /> State Senators Thad Altman and Joe Negron; Florida State Representatives Debbie Mayfield and <br /> Gayle B. Harrell; the Mayor and Town Council of the Town of Indian River Shores; and the <br /> Chairman and Commissioners of the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners. <br /> Section 4.
