4/232014 <br />Nuisance Abatement Special Assessment Ordinance Amendment <br />Proposed language to Section 973.06(5) found on page 5 of the Draft <br />Ordinance. <br />By October 1st of every year, the Code Enforcement Board shall direct staff to notify <br />the Indian River County Commission of any property that has an assessment that is <br />past due per subsections (1) and (3) above. The Indian River County Commission by <br />approval of at least four members, may vote to utilize the process set forth in Section <br />197.3632, Florida Statutes, for the levy, collection, and enforcement of non -ad <br />valorem assessments for any or all of the properties. <br />Proposed language to Section 403.08(3) found on page 6 of the Draft <br />Ordinance. <br />By October 1st of every year, the building official shall notify the Indian River County <br />Commission of any property that has an assessment for the cost of demolition that is <br />at least 30 days past due. The Indian River County Commission by approval of at <br />least four members, may vote to utilize the process set forth in Section 197.3632, <br />Florida Statutes, for the levy, collection, and enforcement of non -ad valorem <br />assessments for any or all of the properties. 22 <br />
