DeBraal - Deputy County Attorney' <br /> DATE: June 2, 2014 <br /> SUBJECT: Resolution Cancelling Taxes on Property Purchased by the County <br /> for Right-Of-Way Along 49th Street East of 66th Avenue <br /> A Resolution has been prepared for the purpose of canceling current and future <br /> ad valorem taxes on property Indian River County recently purchased collectively <br /> from Susan Hobbs, as Trustee of the Earl A. Hobbs, Jr. Testamentary Trust; Earl <br /> Austin Hobbs, III; James Douglas Hobbs; Justin Miley; Lauren Miley; and Layna <br /> Frazier, n/k/a Layna Thrush, for the purpose of right-of-way along 49th Street. <br /> NOW The property is 50 feet in width along 49th Street, lies within Tract 5 of Indian <br /> River Farms Company subdivision, and is fully described in those certain 7 <br /> General Warranty Deeds recorded in Book 2741, Pages 356-359 and Book <br /> 2741, Pages 362-383 of the Public Records of Indian River County, Florida. <br /> FUNDING: <br /> There is no cost associated with this item. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Authorize the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners to execute the <br /> attached Resolution to cancel certain taxes upon publicly owned lands, and the <br /> Clerk to send a certified copy of the Resolution to the Tax Collector and the <br /> Property Appraiser so that current and future ad valorem taxes can be cancelled. <br /> /nhm <br /> Attachment: Resolution <br /> cc: Carole Jean Jordan-Tax Collector <br /> David Nolte-Property Appraiser <br /> /V - - <br /> }�_-�-- -- 13 <br /> 2ivE t' <br />
