Attachment A: Scope of Services <br /> Contract For Services Between Indian River County and Voltedge, Inc. <br /> Note: Time frames in this Scope of Activities may be adjusted as necessary if agreed to in <br /> writing by the County Community Development Director. <br /> PHASE 1 <br /> Task Items To Include Product Due Date <br /> 1: Convene Conduct a Community Leaders/ Summary presentation including <br /> Community Stakeholders Summit to explain the educational materials. Report <br /> Leaders positioning process,outline the plan of that includes a stakeholder input Week of July 14, 2014* <br /> Summit action,and gather initial input. analysis, an employer input (Approx. 1 month after <br /> analysis, and a sites and building contract execution) <br /> analysis. <br /> Report due: September 1211 <br /> Ady Voltedge Proposed Solution Investment <br /> Three Ady Voltedge staff(Janet Ady, Bennett Syverson,and Brandon Rutz)will conduct a 5-day <br /> visit of the county.This will include:an initial meeting with key community leaders(preferably 10- <br /> 15 people max),many interviews with business leaders/stakeholders 1 government officials 1 <br /> key residents 1 key partners,and a community input session(Tasks may shift between days as <br /> needed if agreed to administratively by County staff). <br /> A tentative schedule for the on-site visit would be as follows: <br /> • Monday:Janet and Bennett participate in an initial meeting with key community leaders and <br /> take a guided driving tour of the county in the morning.Bennett conducts roughly 3-4 <br /> interviews(total)with key individuals within the county while Janet visits sites and buildings in <br /> the afternoon. <br /> • Tuesday:Bennett conducts roughly 6-8 interviews with key individuals within the county. <br /> Janet visits sites and buildings within the County. $35,000 <br /> • Wednesday:Janet,Bennett and Brandon conduct roughly 15-20 interviews(total)with key <br /> individuals within the county. <br /> • Thursday: Brandon,Janet, Bennett,and Brandon conduct roughly 18-24 interviews(total) <br /> with key individuals within the county.After the interviews consultant will convene and create <br /> a presentation for the input session on Friday based on the one-on-one interviews throughout <br /> the week. <br /> • Friday:Janet,Bennett,and Brandon to present and conduct a community input session to <br /> garner feedback from various constituents of the community. Consultant will also provide <br /> educational content about economic development to explain what we're doing and how it will <br /> help IRC. <br /> • Note:Brandon will travel back to Indian River County the following week to conduct 12-16 <br /> catch-up interviews. <br /> Optional Item Accepted by County As Part of Contract Investment <br /> Sites and Buildings Assessment: If a community does not have suitable sites and buildings,it <br /> does not have a product to sell.Consultant recommends substituting out a day(or day and a Substitute <br /> half)of interviews to have one of us look at available sites and buildings and write up top-line activities <br /> recommendations, This task to be completed by Janet during the Community from above <br /> Leaders/Stakeholders Summit listed above. <br /> 89 <br />
