Small County Outreach Program (SCOP) Agreement Amendment No. 1 <br />and Resolution Authorizing the Chairman's Signature for Construction <br />(Resurfacing) and Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) Services of Old Dixie <br />Highway from IRFWCD North Relief Canal to 71St Street - IRC Project No. 1137 <br />FM 429566-1-58-01 <br />DATE: May 16, 2014 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />On September 10, 2013, the Board of County Commissioners approved a Small County Outreach <br />Program (SCOP) Agreement for construction (resurfacing) Old Dixie Highway from Indian River <br />Farms Water Control District (IRFWCD) North Relief Canal to 71' Street with the Florida <br />Department of Transportation (FDOT) for an estimated project total of $1,900,000.00. This is a <br />75% FDOT / 25% Indian River County shared cost, making the FDOT total $1,425,000.00 and the <br />Indian River County total $475,000.00 and includes reimbursement for construction engineering <br />inspection (CEI) services. The SCOP Agreement was executed by the FDOT on September 30, 2013. <br />A twelve -foot wide left turn lane is being added to the scope of work that will service the North <br />County Charter School which is located north of 65th Street. The left turn lane will be constructed <br />concurrently with the resurfacing of Old Dixie Highway and will be funded by a Developer's <br />Agreement between Indian River County and North County Charter School in the amount of <br />$48,927.00. It was determined that the deliverables listed on the SCOP Agreement with the FDOT <br />must be updated to include this additional work and the FDOT has requested Amendment No. 1 to <br />the original agreement be approved by the Board of County Commissioners. <br />FUNDING <br />Funding for Indian River County's cost share in the amount of $475,000.00 is budgeted and <br />available in Account Number 10921441-053360-12008 Secondary Roads/FDOT SCOP Grant/Old <br />Dixie Highway N.
