Gifford Nei hborhood Plan 2014 <br /> Future Land Use Designations and Zoning Districts <br /> The County's future land use map and the zoning map are two of the primary tools by which development within the unincorporated <br /> area of Indian River County is regulated. As part of the comprehensive plan, the future land use map depicts the broad land use <br /> designations, or categories, that are applied to properties in the unincorporated area of the County. Future land use designations <br /> specify and control zoning districts and zoning intensities that may be permitted on a specific piece of property (Figure 2 below). <br /> ➢ Future Land Use Designations <br /> Figure 2 below identifies the future land use designations applicable to the Gifford area. Those designations are: <br /> • CA,Commercial/Industrial <br /> • C-1,Publicly Owned or Controlled Conservation(zero density) <br /> • L-1,Low Density Residential-1 (up to 3 units/acre) <br /> • L-2, Low Density Residential-2(up to 6 units/acre) <br /> • M-1,Medium Density Residential-1 (up to 8 units/acre) <br /> • M-2, Medium Density Residential-2 (up to 10 units/acre) <br /> • REC, Recreation <br /> • PUB,Public <br /> N � <br /> Community Development Indian River County 11 <br /> �i <br />
