Through their efforts, a fund raising campaign was initiated that included private
and public entities. The construction of the Gifford Aquatic Center was not only a success, but
through the efforts of Mrs. Woodhouse, interest and awareness of the Gifford Youth Activity
Center increased resulting in financial support for the Center that continues to this day.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS, INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that Mrs. Joan N.
