Site Redevelopment Assessment Report Summary and Request for <br /> p.m. Redevelopment Direction for the Former South Gifford Road <br /> Landfill Site <br /> (memorandum dated_Feb_February 2015 <br /> - - - -)----------------------------------------316-326_ <br /> Director of Utility Services Vincent Burke provided <br /> background on the Brownfields Site Redevelopment <br /> Assessment that was conducted by Geosyntec Consultants on <br /> the County-owned portion of the former South Gifford Road <br /> Landfill elthe Landfill") at 470141St Street. He noted that the <br /> funding for Phase 1 (30 acres) of the assessment was provided <br /> by a federal grant received by the Treasure Coast Regional <br /> Planning Council (TCRPC); and that the County funded <br /> Phase 2 (25 acres)through the One-Cent Sales Tax. <br /> Jill Johnson, Geosyntec Consultants, stated that the focus of <br /> the assessment was to evaluate the site conditions, so any <br /> proposed redevelopment could be done safely. She used a <br /> PowerPoint Presentation to review assessment findings on <br /> soils; ground cover; and landfill gas; and reported that over <br /> 50 former Florida landfills have been developed for <br /> Solid Waste Disposal District Page IF <br /> March 3,2015 <br />
