APR 1 7 '1990 g� <br />BOOK I FADE <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: Ernestine Williams, Utilities Department <br />THRU: Terrance Pinto, Utilities Directo 4p<�� <br />DATE: April 10, 1990 <br />RE: NORTH COUNTY SEWER PROJECT <br />In connection with installing sewers in the North County <br />area, Indian River County obtained a 20 -foot utility <br />easement from Hobart Ridge, Inc. <br />Since that easement was acquired, the property has been <br />purchased by Southeast Bank, Trustee for Windsor Polo Club. <br />In order to align the easements so that the sewer lines can <br />be installed, the County is now asking for an additional <br />easement from Southeast Bank. They are willing to give this <br />easement to the County on the condition that the County <br />quitclaim any interest it has in the easement which it had <br />acquired from Hobart Ridge over the South 10 -feet of the <br />North 20 feet of their property. <br />With acquisition of the new easement from Southeast Bank, <br />the County will have achieved Its alignment goal; therefore, <br />It is not necessary for the County to have this 10 feet. <br />Staff recommends approval of the County quitclaiming the <br />easement and request the Board authorize the Chairman sign <br />the quitclaim easement. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously approved <br />staff's recommendation for approval of the County <br />quitclaiming the easement and authorized the Chairman's <br />signature on the quitclaim easement. <br />COPY OF QUITCLAIM EASEMENT DEED IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE <br />CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />30 <br />
