Tuesday, April 17, 1990 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, <br />April 17, 1990, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Carolyn K. <br />Eggert, Chairman; Richard N. Bird, Vice Chairman; Margaret C. <br />Bowman; Don C. Scurlock, Jr.; and Gary C. Wheeler. Also present <br />were James E. Chandler, County Administrator; Charles P. Vitunac, <br />Attorney to the Board of County Commissioners; Joseph Baird, OMB <br />Director; and Barbara Bonnah, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />Pastor Peter Hill of First Baptist Church gave the <br />invocation, and Chairman Eggert led the Pledge of Allegiance to <br />the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Chairman Eggert requested the addition of the following four <br />items: <br />1. As an emergency, IRC's exchange of properties with Ciba- <br />Geigy Corp. <br />2. Courthouse status report. <br />3. A request from the Marine Resources Council. <br />4. As an emergency item, authorization to record paving and <br />drainage lien on Lots 7, 8, 13-16, Block H, Oslo Park <br />Subdivision, McGriff. <br />Chairman Eggert announced the postponement for one week of <br />Item 10-C -- Telephone Communications from Adm. Bldg./ Courthouse. <br />Commissioner Bird requested the addition of a discussion re <br />the State's response to IRC's Manatee Protection Plan. <br />Commissioner Scurlock requested the addition of a request <br />for authorization to begin aggressive dialogue with General <br />Development Utilities on the acquisition of their utility systems <br />in both Vero Beach and Sebastian. <br />BOOK <br />APR 17 <br />
