ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by Commis- <br />sioner Bowman, the Board unanimously adopted Resolu- <br />tion 90-48 affirming the status of the Indian River <br />Arts Council as the Local Arts Agency. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90- 48 <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, BY ITS BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS, AFFIRMING THE INDIAN <br />RIVER ARTS COUNCIL'S STATUS AS THE LOCAL <br />ARTS AGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Indian River Arts Council has been <br />functioning as the umbrella organization for more than 25 <br />cultural and artistic groups since it was established as a <br />non-profit corporation in 1986, and <br />WHEREAS, the County Commission and local <br />municipalities have supported its efforts through annual <br />proclamations and financial sharing of tourist tax revenues; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that <br />the Board hereby affirms the Indian River Arts Council's <br />status as its designated Local Arts Agency. <br />The foregoing Resolution was offered by <br />Commissioner Bird and seconded by Commissioner <br />Bowman and upon being put to a vote the vote was as <br />follows: <br />Chairman Carolyn K.
