Discussion continued regarding various alternatives, and <br />Chairman Eggert asked if there is some urgency about this. <br />Commissioner Scurlock thought that staff is trying to do the <br />right thing, but he gets tired of doing the "right" thing in the <br />wrong way. <br />Chairman Eggert suggested that possibly we could handle this <br />particular matter now and then address the overall situation, and <br />Commissioner Wheeler agreed. He believed there are some people <br />out there waiting to build hangars, and pointed out that applica- <br />tion itself not only costs $500 but it is time consuming. <br />Attorney Vitunac interjected that if someone does come for a <br />variance in the future, his office will have to say that we think <br />it is an illegal variance, and the Board agreed. <br />Discussion continued, and Commissioner Wheeler advised that <br />he happens to live in the Aerodrome Subdivision, but he lives in <br />the legal area where it is 1 upa. <br />Chairman Eggert determined that no one was present repre- <br />senting the applicant. She asked if anyone wished to be heard <br />regarding this request; there were none; and she thereupon closed <br />the public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Ordinance 90-10 amending the AG District regula- <br />tions to,reduce side and rear yard setbacks to 15' <br />for hangar/garage structures for subdivisions with <br />special exception approval for airstrips and further <br />directed staff to move ahead to address this situation <br />properly by creating a category for the specific use. <br />AJ �4. <br />n el <br />19 RUOK �0 F' „.,c <br />I <br />
