Commissioner Scurlock referred back to the multitude of <br />proposals we had for names when we going t•o name the new bridge, <br />and we finally decided to call it the 17th Street Bridge. He <br />felt the goal is to have an active growing library to serve all <br />residents of the North County, and believed that we have been <br />very careful over the years about naming any of our public <br />buildings after someone or something too specific. <br />Commissioner Bird believed that possibly we could give <br />portions within the library itself specific names. He felt there <br />should be a room in there somewhere with Pat Lyons name on it. <br />Chairman Eggert noted that she cannot say enough about The <br />Friends of the Sebastian area Library and what they have done to <br />start the library up there, and felt we must be very careful. <br />Commissioner Scurlock also felt that within the library <br />there could be some specific room names, and Chairman Eggert <br />agreed but felt that can be discussed another time. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. <br />It was voted on and carried unanimously. <br />FACo LEGISLATIVE ALERT RE GROWTH MANAGEMENT BILL <br />Chairman Eggert referred the Board to the following memo <br />from FACo: <br />57 BOOK G' N'E.ffilJ <br />Y 2 X990 <br />I <br />
