8001{ pnr 5 <br />ANALYSIS <br />The list of costs and services to be provided are as follows: <br />1. General Services During Construction <br />Provide progress meetings, review shop drawings, 'review pay <br />estimates, prepare change orders, general project management <br />CDM costs $107,380 <br />outside consultants 15.000 <br />Total $122,380 <br />2. Resident Inspection Services <br />Provide resident inspection as required, prepare daily reports, <br />assist engineering staff with pay requests <br />CDM total costs $60,030 <br />3. Special Services During Construction <br />Due to a request by the Department of Environmental Regulation, <br />a brine treatment facility must now be designed and constructed <br />CDM total costs $28,980 <br />Considering the necessitated-t:btal redesign of the plant, which was <br />due to litigation over the originally -specified membrane, and <br />extensive permitting requirements by the DER, the total engineering <br />cost from CDM and outside consultants is $387,224.00 (approximately <br />11% of the final construction cost), which is a reasonable price. <br />Funds for this project will come from Account No. <br />472-000-169-041.00. <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the <br />Board of County Commissioners approve the attached Work <br />Authorization with Camp Dresser & McKee. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved <br />Work Auth. #10 with Camp Dresser & McKee, as <br />recommended by staff. <br />COPY OF SCOPE OF SERVICES AGREEMENT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF <br />THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />54 <br />
