SEP <br />Carol Johnson spoke for the Chamber of Commerce and <br />expressed their appreciation with the actions taken by staff in <br />underlining the changes. <br />9 <br />Anita Warner, 93rd Street, wished.to know if there is a <br />definition under mining and excavation regarding dust control <br />regulations. <br />Director Keating believed in the LDRs we require that there <br />must be methods of dust control, and Mrs. Warner just wished to <br />know what the dust control regulation is. <br />Planner DeBlois advised that the applicant for a mining <br />permit is responsible for satisfying the county that measures <br />will be taken to control the dust they create. <br />It was determined that no one else wished to speak regarding <br />Chapter 901 - Definitions. <br />Chapter 902, Administrative Mechanisms <br />* Identifies role of Board and Commission as related to planning <br />and development <br />* Establishes new Historic Resource Advisory Committee <br />* Review of administrative appeals has been given to the <br />Planning and Zoning Comission from Board of Adjustment-P&Z <br />decision would be final <br />* Establishes Technical Review Committee <br />Chairman Eggert had a very big problem with Page 4, <br />Paragraph (12) where it says "The decision of the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission is final," and "unless appealed to the Board of <br />County Commissioners" is crossed out. <br />Asst. County Attorney Collins noted that this is just a <br />question of do we want to change what we already have. We have <br />just said the question of interpreting these LDRs would be more <br />appropriately appealed to the P&Z Commission.
