BOOKFADE ;j <br />NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br />POTENTIALLY RESULTING IN <br />-CHANGE OF LAND USE <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />s • <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County proposes to hold a <br />public hearing at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 26, 1990 in the Board of <br />County Commissioners Chambers at the County Administration Building, 1840 25th <br />Street, Vero Beach, Florida for the purpose of considering entering into a Stipulated <br />Settlement Agreement with the Florida State Department of Community Affairs. <br />The proposed Stipulated Settlement Agreement would set forth a course of action <br />to resolve issues raised by the Department of Community Affairs in its Statement of <br />Intent to find the Indian River County Comprehensive Plan "Not in Compliance" <br />with Chapter 163, Florida Statutes, and Chapter 9J-5, Florida Administrative Code. <br />If the Stipulated Settlement Agreement is approved by the Indian River County - <br />Board of County Commissioners after public hearing and by the Secretary of the <br />Department of Community Affairs, subsequent public hearings will be held within 60 <br />days to consider any comprehensive plan amendments necessary to accomplish the <br />remedial actions set out in the Stipulated Settlement Agreement. Any such plan <br />amendments shall be transmitted to the Department of Community Affairs for <br />review and comment and there will be a second public hearing prior to the adoption <br />of the plan amendments set out in the proposed Stipulated Settlement Agreement. , <br />The Stipulated Settlement Agreement and the subsequent public hearings on plan <br />amendment, may involve the change of the use. of land throughout . the <br />unincorporated area of -Indian River County. <br />Any person wishing to appeal any decision made by the Commission with respect <br />to any matter considered at this hearing will need a record of the proceeding, and - . <br />for such purpose, will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is <br />made which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to • <br />be based. <br />Indian River County <br />Board of County Commissioners <br />By -s -Carolyn Eggert, Chairman <br />2 <br />
