QCT 21-990 <br />BOOK 81 FACE 6ti 7 <br />Commissioner Scurlock pointed out that we have said that new <br />growth must pay for itself and the consultants are looking at <br />that. He anticipated a big increase in wastewater impact fees <br />since that cost is related to the cost of getting rid of <br />effluent. He stressed that there is absolutely no cheaper time <br />to do it than right now. <br />Discussion ensued regarding the timeframes for building the <br />regional wastewater plants, and Director Pinto emphasized that we <br />are ready to build them right now if we had the money. We do <br />have some time in the south county, but the west county is a time <br />bomb because of the moratorium factor included -in the concurrency <br />requirements established for March, 1991. <br />Chairman Eggert felt the Board members might take this <br />report and absorb it and then come back, but Commissioner <br />Scurlock suggested holding specific workshops. <br />Chairman Eggert preferred that the workshops be held as the <br />various concurrency requirements come up. She felt this <br />presentation has been extremely helpful and thanked staff for <br />putting it together. <br />REQUEST FROM ST.
