Mascola, CPO Manager <br />Division of Purchasing <br />SUBJ: IRC BID #91-8/Road Stabilization <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On request from the Road & Bridge Division, the subject bid was <br />properly advertised and Pive (5) Invitations to Bid were sent out <br />On September 12, 1990, bids were received with Four (4) vendors <br />submitting proposals for the commodity. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />Staff has reviewed the submittal to ascertain adherence to specifi- <br />cations. Henry Fisher was the low bidder and met all -requirements. <br />FUNDING: <br />Monies for this project will come from Budget Road & Bridge Accounts <br />for paving material. Funds available $470,000.00. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends the Award of an Open End Contract to Henry Fisher <br />with an estimated value of $10,000 per year. Also, authorize the <br />Purchasing Manager to renew the Contract subject to satisfactory <br />performance,. zero cost increase, vendor acceptance, and determi- <br />nation that renewal is in the best interest of the County. The <br />initial contract period shall begin on the date of award. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bird, the Board unanimously awarded Bid <br />#91-8 to the low bidder, Henry Fischer & Sons, for <br />Road Stabilization Material, and approved an Open <br />End Contract with same with an estimated value of <br />$10,000 per year as recommended by staff and per <br />the following Bid Tabulation: <br />T 16 10 19 - <br />
