Mascola, CPO Manager <br />Division of Purchasing <br />BOOK 81 PA'E 65 <br />SUBJ: IRC BID #91-10/Supply & Install Soil Cement& Limerock <br />BACKGROUND: A <br />On request from the Road & Bridge Division, the subject bid was <br />properly advertised and Ten (10) Invitations to Bid were sent out <br />On September 12, 1990, bids were received with Two (2) vendors <br />submitting proposals for the commodity. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />Staff has reviewed the submittal to ascertain adherence to specifi- <br />cations. Pan American Engineering was the low bidder and met all <br />requirements. <br />FUNDING: <br />Monies for this project will come from Budget Road & Bridge Accounts <br />for paving material. Funds available $470,000.00. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends the Award of an Open End Contract to Pan American <br />with an estimated value of $100,000 per year. Also, authorize the <br />Purchasing Manager to renew the Contract subject to satisfactory <br />performance, zero cost increase, vendor acceptance, and determi- <br />nation that renewal is in the best interest of the County. The <br />initial contract period shall begin on the date of award. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bird, the Board unanimously awarded Bid <br />#91-10 - Supply & Install Soil Cement & Limerock - <br />to the low bidder Pan American and approved the <br />award of an Open End Contract to same with an <br />estimated value of $100,000 per year as recommended <br />by staff and per the following Bid Tabulation: <br />30 <br />
