ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved the <br />use of the facilities at Sandridge Golf Club for the <br />Vero Beach Girls Golf Team for 1991. <br />F. Bid #91-28 - 1991 Van (SWDD) <br />The Board reviewed memo from Interim Purchasing Manager <br />George Wolf and SWDD Manager Ron Brooks: <br />DATE: December 3, 1990 <br />TO: HONORABLE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMSSIONERS <br />THRU: James E Chandler, County Administrator <br />H.T. "Sonny" Dean, Director <br />Department of General Serve <br />14�# <br />FROM: George Wolf, C.P.M., Interim Purchasing Manager <br />Division of Purchasing V� <br />SUBJ: IRC BID #91-28/1991 Van <br />On request from the Solid Waste Disposal District the subject bid was <br />properly advertised and Twenty-Three(23) Invitations to Bid were sent out. <br />November 7, 1990 a single bid was received from Steve Hull Chevrolet in <br />Jacksonville, Florida for this commodity. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />Staff has reviewed the single bid received and detennined that this re- <br />pondent fully complied with the customized specifications for this ve- <br />hicle in order to meet the operational requirements of Solid Waste. <br />Two of the four respondents we telephoned indicated that they either <br />do not handle this equipment or they would not customize it. - <br />FUNDING: <br />Monies for this project will come from Solid Waste Capital Automo- <br />tive Account. Funds available $30,000.00. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />It is therefore staffs recommendation to award a Fixed Contract with <br />additions, deletions, and extended warranty as per attached now in <br />the amount of $24,195.96 to Steve Hull Chevrolet based on their subject <br />bid in the amount of $23,055.69, as there would be no advantage in <br />calling for a re -bid at this time. <br />SEC 111990 ��c <br />
