IRC Bid #91-35/Pest Control Services <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On request from the Department the subject bid was properly <br />advertised and Fifteen (15) Invitations to Bid were sent out. On <br />November 28, 1990 bids were received with Five (5) vendors submitting <br />proposals for the commodity. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />Staff has reviewed the submittal to ascertain adherence to speci- <br />fications. Massey Services was the lowest bidder, and met all <br />requirements. - <br />FUNDING: <br />Monies for this project will come from Buildings & Grounds Accounts for <br />pest control services. Funds available $9,900.00. <br />Staff recomiends the Award of An Open End Contract for $3,480.00 to the <br />lowest bidder, Massey Services, for the first year, based on monthly <br />unit charges for the eight (8) designated County buildings. Also, author- <br />ize the Purchasing Manager to renew the Contract. subject to satisfactory <br />performance, vendor acceptance, and determination that renewal is in the <br />best interest of the County. The initial Contract period shall begin on <br />the date of award. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bird, the Board unanimously awarded Bid <br />#91-35 for Pest Control Services to the low bidder, <br />Massey Services in the amount of $3,480 as recommended <br />by staff and per the following Bid Tabulation: <br />CONTRACT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />12 <br />
