He reiterated that he does feel comfortable with the <br />numbers set out in his memo; he has been on the line with any <br />number of people as to how realistic those figures are; and he <br />does feel that we need to make a determination on site and <br />concept at this time. <br />Chairman Eggert agreed that it is decisionmaking time, and <br />she is totally supportive of Concept L. <br />Commissioner Bird stated his preference for Concept J, and <br />expressed his hope that some day the Commission will get its due <br />for buying a very expensive piece of land to put the Courthouse <br />on in order to help revitalize the downtown area because there <br />are a lot of other places in the county we can put that facility <br />and not pay $20 a square foot for the land. <br />Commissioner Scurlock noted that if he supported any other <br />concept, it would be Concept M which is even more flexible and <br />more expensive. <br />Attorney Vitunac believed the cost actually is more like $14 <br />a square foot. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION on the <br />Motion to approve Concept L. <br />It was voted on and carried 4 to 1 with Commis- <br />sioner Bird voting in opposition. <br />Commissioner Bird explained that he voted in opposition only <br />because he preferred Concept J. <br />NEW COURTHOUSE CONSTRUCTION DELIVERY CONCEPTS <br />Administrator Chandler made the following presentation. <br />referring to staff memos of December 7th and 14th: <br />48 <br />
