White, <br />At the Town Council meeting of December 12, 1990, Councilman <br />J. Wayne Schasane was appointed to represent the Town of <br />Orchid as an alternate to the Treasure Coast Planning Council. <br />Please direct all correspondence to Councilman Schasane <br />at 9300 Town Square, Vero Beach, FL 32963. <br />If you have any questions, please call 589-6100. <br />Sincerely, <br />T <br />rnest Polverari <br />Town Manager <br />The Chairman explained that Indian River Shores did not wish <br />to go; we then go to Fellsmere to get their next person, which is <br />Mr. Mraz, and Orchid is their backup. Orchid first recommended <br />Mr. Polverari, but he is not an elected official; so this is <br />their new recommendation. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved the <br />appointment of Councilman J. Wayne Schasane to represent <br />the Town of Orchid as an alternate to the TCRPC. <br />REPORT ON REQUEST FROM MANWAC COMMITTEE <br />Commissioner Wheeler informed the Board that because of a <br />timing problem in obtaining their permitting from St. John's and <br />other agencies, the Environmental Learning Center has lost their <br />SWIM Demonstration Grant Funds. This $4,000 grant, which we had <br />offered to match, was intended to be used for a state-of-the-art <br />drainage project at the Center. The MANWAC Committee unanimously <br />supported writing a letter of protect to St. Johns asking them to <br />find us $4,000 in matching funds., and Commissioner Wheeler <br />80 <br />
